Dictating a report in a non-integrated system

A non-integrated reporting system is one that IMPAX is not programmatically connected to, such as a tape recorder. When using a non-integrated reporting system, you can use IMPAX to set a study's status to Dictated when the report is complete.

If configured in the Configure area, the non-integrated reporting system can be used for the creation of reports and IMPAX Reporting can be used for editing and sign-off of the reports on the IMPAX Client.

To dictate multiple studies in a non-integrated system

  1. In the Image area, display the studies to be dictated.

  2. From the Image area top toolbar, right-click Dictate Study. Dictate Study - multiple available

  3. Under Dictate Report for, select the checkboxes of the studies to dictate.

    The current study is selected by default. When you select a second study, the Dictate study button adds a + sign. Multiple study dictation

  4. Create the report in the non-integrated system.

  5. When the report is complete, click Dictate Study.Dictate Study - multiple available

    If IMPAX has been configured for single-click dictation, the status of the selected studies immediately changes to Dictated. Dictation complete Otherwise, click Dictate Study again to get them to this status.


To dictate a single study in a non-integrated system

  1. In the Image area, view the study to be dictated.

  2. Create the report in the non-integrated system.

  3. When the report is complete, from the top toolbar, click Dictate Study. Dictate Study

    If IMPAX has been configured for single-click dictation, the study status immediately changes to Dictated. Dictation complete Otherwise, click Dictate Study again to get it to this status.
