Some highlights of IMPAX 6.3.1 Client include:

• IMPAX Reporting: Integrated the Nuance’s SpeechMagic voice recognition (also known as the embedded reporting integration) to provide a more integrated speech workflow if you use the Nuance Speech Interactive component. Microsoft Word supports the existing report templates that are deployed and is also the mechanism used to dictate, type into, display, and modify existing reports.

• Ability to customize Search criteria in the order you want, saving time and increasing efficiency when performing ad-hoc searches on a regular basis.

• Can populate the Advanced Search from the Worklist List criteria so you can find out what the worklist is composed of and can easily change the values.

• Ability to create favorite searches, eliminating the need to have to re-enter information by not having to re-create frequently performed searches.

• Updated how the patient date of birth is entered as a calendar is now used to select the date.

• Updated study access rule functionality, making them easier to configure.

• Implemented an embedded reporting workflow that eliminates the need to toggle between the different windows. Dictation can be activated from either IMPAX or the speech mike control. The Embedded reporting workflow streamlines workflows, improving efficiency and productivity.

• SmartSeek: Can create URL links as tabs in the Study pane of the Text area. You can access applications that can be launched using a URL call such as internal EMR portals and external web sites. You now have access to all the pertinent information you require without having to leave the IMPAX application, saving time and improving your workflow.

• If you rely on you colleagues’ interpretations and markup, you can configure and select Show all markups or no markups at start up.

• If you log out without closing any cycled studies, you can configure if the cycle list contents are preserved and available upon login again, including any studies that were set-aside.

• Added additional script wizards for the List area.

• Shared Workflow: Added radiologist/resident claim functionality/workflow to take diagnostic ownership of one or more studies from the List area without having to start dictation on each one individually.
