IMPAX 6.5.1 Server Knowledge Base home > Configuring IMPAX Server with Administration Tools > Specialty Manager
You can test that the study descriptions at your site match the source patterns, rule numbers, and specialties you have added in the Administration Tools. Use the Study Description field to test the descriptions.
![]() | Tip: To monitor possible mismatches, you can assign a specialty of DID NOT MATCH to rule 1,000,000 to represent a description not matched by any rules. If you do this, remember to change the value back to the appropriate text (for example, to DEFAULT) after running the test. |
To test specialty mappings
On the Setup tab, click Specialty Manager.![]()
In the Study Description field, type the study description (RIS procedure code) to be mapped to a specialty.
Click Test. ![]()
If the study description is matched to a specialty, the Test Results dialog shows the source pattern and rule number that apply to the study description.
If the study description does not match, the default mapping of BODY (or DID NOT MATCH) is applied. You may need to refine the source patterns and rule numbers in the system to get the results you want.
