Adding a specialty value to the Specialty list

The Specialty Manager defines mappings between study descriptions or procedure codes and specialty identifiers. Some specialty identifiers are available by default, but you can add other values to the list as required.

To add a specialty value to the Specialty list

  1. On the Setup tab, click Specialty Manager. Speciality Manager

  2. Beside the Specialty list, click the + button.

  3. In the Add New Value field, type the name of the specialty value to add (using the appropriate case).

  4. Click Add. Add

  5. To add any other specialty values, repeat steps 3 and 4.

  6. Click OK.

    You can also remove specialty values through this dialog. To do this, select the value to delete in the Specialty list and click Remove. Remove The Clear buttons in this dialog clear the Add New Value field or clear the selected value in the Specialty list; they do not remove existing values.
