Errors can occur when attempting to print a study to film, burn to a local or remote CD or DVD, transmit a study to another station, or retrieve a study. Some errors are unrecoverable, but others can be retried.
Unless you have administration privileges, you can retry only your own jobs.
To retry failed jobs
To find out if any jobs have failed, on the List or Configure area bar,
look at the second button of the Job Monitor.
It indicates how many jobs have encountered problems.
To see if any of the failed jobs can be retried, from the Job Monitor menu
,
select Job
Manager.
If you have administration privileges, in the Job Manager dialog, select Show Jobs for All Users.
To show only the failed jobs that may succeed on retry, from the Status list, select Retry.
or
To sort all studies by status, click the Job Status column heading. Look for the studies with Retry status.
If you need to take any action before retrying the job—for example, replacing the CD or the film in a printer—do so now.
In the Job Manager dialog, select the job to retry. To retry more than one job, use Ctrl + click to select non-consecutive jobs or Shift + click to select consecutive jobs.
Click Retry.
or
Right-click the selected jobs and select Retry.
To monitor the jobs to see if the retry succeeds, leave the dialog open. Select the Automatically Refresh checkbox or click Refresh periodically and look at the Job Status of the jobs you retried.
Successful jobs briefly change to a status of Done, then are removed from the jobs list.
When done, to close the dialog, click OK.
