Window level presets are predefined window level values that can be applied to images from particular modalities (excluding MR). Certain window level presets are provided by default in IMPAX. You can create more as required. One preset can be designated as the default for each modality or modality and body part. Default presets can be applied automatically.
To designate a window level preset as the default
If setting preferences for other users, impersonate the user or role.
From the Image area top toolbar, right-click the Window Level button menu.
From the menu, select Customize.
In the Adjust Window Level dialog, select the Modality to customize.
If available, select the Body Part.
To apply the preset to all body parts for this modality, select DEFAULT in the Body Part list.
Select the preset to use by default.
Click Make Default *.
That preset now has an asterisk to indicate that it is the default preset.
To close the dialog, click Close.
To apply the default preset automatically
If setting preferences for other users, impersonate the user or role.
Press F12 or, from the Image area top toolbar, click Customize. ![]()
In the Customize dialog, switch to the Modality Preferences tab.
Select the Modality and Body Part (if available) to apply the preset to by default.
Under Startup Defaults, select the Apply window/level presets checkbox.
To save the setting and close the dialog, click OK.
