Creating worklists for exporting to CD and print jobs

Worklists define the workflow of the department. You can create worklists for support staff, such as film librarians, whose job includes printing batches of studies or burning studies to CD. Refer to Relating worklists to department workflow .

To create a worklist for exporting to CD and print jobs

  1. In the List area, click Worklists.

  2. In the Worklist Library, under Standard Worklists, click New.

  3. In the Worklist Name field, type a name that describes the purpose of the worklist.

  4. Ensure that the Type of Worklist is Standard Worklists.

  5. On the Search tab, define and perform an advanced search to determine which studies will be displayed in the worklist. In doing so, keep the following in mind:

    • If you have created a keyword to tag the studies to print or burn to CD, select Keywords as one criteria.

    • If combining studies from several modalities in one print job produces bad results, you can create several worklists, each based on different modalities.

    • Alternatively, if one specific station or modality produces problematic prints, create one worklist that for studies from that station or modality, and another for the rest of the studies to be printed.

  6. Switch to the Organization tab.

  7. Select the support role or the individual staff member.

  8. Click OK.

    The worklist is added to the Standard Worklists. Create more export worklists if needed.
