Before opening the images for a study, you can choose to just look at the textual information (including reports and key images) associated with that study in the Text area. Opening images takes longer, so on slower networks, you can read the text first to determine whether you want to also download the images for viewing.

To open the report for a prior study from the Text area
In the Study List, click the prior study.
If Study Lock is off or no Study Lock is available only the report is shown for the prior study. If the Image area is visible, the images are not synchronized. If Study Lock is on, the report is shown for the prior study and the Image area is synchronized with the images for the prior study.
To open the text for a current study from a worklist or search results
In the List area, if the worklist or search results are collapsed, expand them.
Right-click the study and select Open Text.
The textual information for the study is displayed in the Text area.
If Study Lock is off or no Study Lock is available only the textual information is displayed in the Text area. If the Image area is visible, no images are displayed. If Study Lock is on, the textual information is displayed in the Text area and the Image area is synchronized with the images for the study.
Required permissions
General: Text Area > Enable Text Area operation
Study-based: Text Area > View Reports operation
