IMPAX 6.5.1 Client Knowledge Base: Extended > Managing studies using worklists
The first column in any worklist or search results list contains a series
of Open with Images
buttons.
If studies must be retrieved from different
sources before they can be displayed
in the Image area, other symbols
appear instead, as noted below.

a study is being retrieved, the retrieve symbol includes a small icon to indicate
retrieval is in progress; for example, |
| Symbol | Name | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Open with Images | The images are available in the system and can immediately be opened into the Image area by clicking the button. | |
| Retrieve images from nearline storage | The images are currently in some form of nearline storage, such as an HSM (hierarchical storage management) system. | |
| Retrieve images from offline storage | The images are currently in some form of offline media, such as DVD or tape. | |
| Retrieve images from external PACS | The images are in a different PACS. | |
| Retrieve web versions of images | The images must be converted to web versions for viewing. If you have permission to do so, you can switch to viewing full-fidelity images instead. | |
| Unavailable | The images for this study are unavailable. They may be archived at this time, or you may not have permission to retrieve them. Please contact your PACS Administrator. | |
| Unsupported DICOM objects | The images include unsupported DICOM objects. The images can be opened, but the unsupported objects are omitted. |
