Adding custom configuration strings to presets

To include advanced or alternative configuration options as part of a print preset, add them as a custom configuration string. These strings are vendor and model dependent. Refer to the printer documentation.

  1. Add a preset or select a preset to copy, enter information in the first six screens and click Next until you reach the Custom screen.

    or

Select a preset to edit and switch to the Custom tab.

  2. To use a custom configuration string, select the Use Custom Configuration String checkbox.

  3. In the Custom Configuration String field, type the configuration information, up to 256 characters.

  4. Click Finish or OK.

Tip

Tip:

For Agfa Drystar printers, we recommend that you select the Use Custom Configuration String checkbox, but you can leave the Custom Configuration String field blank. This will pull in vendor-provided configuration strings.
