Highlight the most clinically relevant images of the study for clinicians or other radiologists by adding key images to the report or the study. You can add a single image or single frame of a multiframe image to a specified key image note. This key image is created in the Available Series Palette of the Image area. Key images can also be attached directly to the report by selecting the For Report Attachment document title. These Key Images are listed in the Report pane of the Text area. The key image is a link to the original image.

To manually add multiple key images
In the Image area, to select multiple images, use the Image Selection tool.
The images you select can be key images; however, you cannot add the key images to the document title category they already exist in, unless it is a third-party key image.
To add the key images, use the custom keyboard shortcut.
Note:
Key images are synchronized with other facilities in multi-site environments if synchronization destinations are enabled.
To make key images available for viewing in the Text area, you must select For Report Attachment as the document title.
In the Image area, a key image note is added as a series in the Available Series Tray and the key images are added to it.
In the Text area under the Report bar, thumbnails of the key images appear. By default, all markups are shown on the key images thumbnails, even if you have the Image area set to show only your markups or show no markups on images.
| Note: When you add a key image with the For Report Attachment document title, the thumbnail in the Text area shows all presentation changes, such as markups, that were made on the original image, even those that have not been saved. If you open the same study later, the key image thumbnail shows only the presentation changes that were actually saved. |
