In many situations, critical studies must be read before other studies in the worklist. Using the priority grouping rules and other IMPAX features, you can ensure that critical studies are highlighted at the top of a worklist and when cycled are viewed as the next study.
To highlight critical studies in a worklist
Create a priority grouping rule that is based on the criteria for critical studies.
The STAT! priority grouping rule is created by default. It groups all high-priority studies. You can use the default STAT! rule as is, modify it, or create a new priority grouping rule for critical studies.
Ensure that the priority grouping rule is listed at the top of the rule hierarchy.
When studies are added to the worklist that meet the priority grouping rule criteria, the studies are moved to the top of the worklist.
To cycle critical studies to the top of the Cycle List
For the Cycle List, ensure that a priority grouping rule that is based on the criteria for critical studies is listed at the top of the rule hierarchy.

To automatically move to the next study in the cycle list as soon as dictation is completed on the current study, you must enable Active worklist.
For any worklists cycling studies, Auto Cycle and the appropriate priority grouping rules must be enabled.
Studies matching the priority grouping rule that come into the worklist are cycled to the top of the Cycle List. Therefore, if a new study arrives in the worklist and matches the critical study priority grouping rule, it is automatically added to the Cycle List. When you finish reading the current study, the critical study is displayed in the Image area.
