You can apply spine label markers to sagittal (or possibly coronal) CT or MR images to indicate which section of the spine an image matches.

To apply spine labels
Display a CT, MR, or other spine study that contains sagittal images.
Click a sagittal (or possibly coronal) image to label.
You can label axial images but the labels apply only to that image and are treated like annotations.
From the Image area context or top toolbar, click Spine Annotation. ![]()

If using the context toolbar text menu (Ctrl + right-click), select Markup > Spine Annotation.
In the Spine Annotation dialog, change any session-based preferences as required.
To apply the labels, single-click on the correct position of the spine.
When applying labels, you can also:
Adjust the angle of the spine annotation label perimeter box
Adjust the size of the spine annotation label perimeter box
When all labels are placed, close the Spine Annotation dialog, by right-clicking the mouse or clicking Close.
If required, save the spine labels.
![]() | Note: You can resume applying spine labels after enabling and then disabling the following tools: Window Level, Zoom/Pan, Markup Angle, Markup Annotation, and Markup Caliper. For example, when applying spine labels (stopping at T11), you decided to use the Markup Caliper tool. After disabling the tool, you resume applying spine labels, and when clicking on the next vertebral body, the correct label is applied (T10). |
