Labeling spine images

You can apply spine labels to CT or MR images in 3D to indicate which section of the spine an image matches. You can also label CR, axial, or other spine images that are not 3D; however, the labels are treated like annotations and only apply to that particular image.

Important!

The Spine Labeling tool uses average spine data (height, circumference, and angle) for the default dimensions of the vertebral bodies at each spine level and applies those dimensions based on where on the spine the user clicks. The user can adjust the default dimensions (as a percentage) at each level to better represent the specific anatomy of a particular patient population (such as, pediatrics). Note that the tool does not use edge detection to automatically determine vertebral body and interverbral discs dimensions or segment levels.
