Configuring the spoke HL7 connection to the hub Connectivity Manager

Set up HL7 communications from the spoke Connectivity Manager to the hub Connectivity Manager.

Note:

In the following procedure, a single device provides both HL7 In and HL7 Out functionality. You can choose to separate the functionality by configuring two devices, one for the HL7 In feed from the RIS and the other for the HL7 Out feed to the hub Connectivity Manager.

To configure the spoke HL7 connection to the hub Connectivity Manager

Configure the spoke Connectivity Manager HL7 settings.
Identify the messages to be sent to the hub.
Send the spoke Patient UID to the hub.
Send the spoke study instance UID to the hub.
Remove the line feeds from the interpretation text.
