Use these additional routing criteria when creating routing constraints to narrow the parameters for a routing rule and to make the routing rule more precise.
Patient attributes
| Attribute | How studies are routed |

Patient Birth Date |
All studies are routed for patients who are younger or older than the specified date. For example, send all studies from patients born after 01/ 01/1995 to the Pediatrics reading area. |
Current Patient Location |
All studies are routed based on the location of the patient within the hospital site, as maintained by the RIS. For example, routes for patients currently in the ER or currently in Radiology. |
Study attributes

| Acquiring Station Name | All studies from a particular acquisition station are
routed to the selected destinations.
For example, send all studies from PASSPORT_CT to RS4 in the CT reading area. |
| Body Part | All studies matching a particular body part are
routed to the selected destinations.
Body part information is supplied by the technician. |
| Branch of Service | Military requirement.
All studies from particular branch of service are routed to the selected destinations. |
| Institution | All images generated within a particular institution
are routed to the selected destinations.
Typically used when two hospitals are connected to one IMPAX cluster. |
| Department | Route images from a certain department. For example, all studies from Emergency are routed based on the department supplied by the RIS. |
| Military Rank | Military requirement.
All studies matching a particular military rank are routed. Information is supplied by the RIS. |
| Modality | All studies from a particular imaging modality are routed. |
| Radiology Specialty | Studies are routed based on specialties.
For example, RS1 for HEAD, RS2 for ABDOMEN, RS3 for PEDIATRICS. |
| Referring Physician | All studies referred by a particular physician
are routed.
Physician information is supplied by the RIS. |
| Requesting Physician | All studies requested by a particular physician are
routed.
Physician information is supplied by the RIS. |
| Requesting Service | Military requirement.
Studies are routed based on the requesting branch of service. |
| Requested Procedure Code | Studies are routed based on the procedure code entered by the technician. |
| Study Description | Studies are routed based on words found within the study description. |
| Study Priority ID | Studies are routed based on the Priority ID assigned
to the study.
Priority information is supplied by the RIS. |
| Physicians Reading Study | All studies read by a particular physician are routed.
Physician information is supplied by the RIS. |
