Troubleshooting: Dates or times missing in the Study Information dialog in the Study Manager

Issue

The Study Information dialog in the Study Manager contains dates in the format 0000 00 00 or times in the format 00 00 00.

Details

The date and time information in the database is copied from the DICOM header when the study first arrives in the IMPAX system or may have been obtained from the HIS during HIS verification. If the date or time information in the database is missing or the format is incorrect, the data cannot be displayed correctly in the Study Manager.

Solution

Determine the correct date or time and update the database to contain the correct information.

CAUTION!

It is important that the study date contains valid data. If you cannot determine the correct study date, we recommend using the current date. In the Administration Tools and IMPAX Client worklists, if the study date is used as a query constraint and an invalid date appears in the database (such as 0000 00 00), the study is not returned in query results. To ensure that the study is included in query results, you must update the study date to a valid value.

To correct the date or time

  1. Determine the correct data for the date or time. This may include looking at paper files or the requesting order.

  2. Update the study information and save it into the database.
