A single demographic layout can clutter the image with information; instead, two or three layouts can be configured for each modality type, and the Demographics Layout Toggle can be used to determine what type of information to display in the IMPAX Client. Refer to “Showing selected types of demographic information” (topic number 111460) in the IMPAX 6.5.1 Client Knowledge Base: Extended.

To create additional demographic layouts to toggle between
Using the Demographic Layout Manager, copy an existing layout or create one.
Name the layout appropriately and prefix the layout name with XX_INVESTIGATIVE or XX_TECHNICAL
where XX is the modality that uses the layout.
The terms clinical, investigative, and technical are used to identify and select the layouts using the toggle; however, no restriction exists on the content of the layout. Clinical is the default demographic layout assigned in the Source Manager and a site can choose to add neither, one of, or both the investigative and technical layouts for various modalities.
For example, the following would provide additional demographic layouts for a CT modality:
CT_INVESTIGATIVE_LAYOUT
CT_TECHNICAL_LAYOUT
From the Modality list, select the modality to assign to the layout.
Note:
The modality prefix used in the name of the layout determines what layouts IMPAX Client toggles between—not the modality assigned to the layout.
If required, modify the DICOM fields included on the layout.
Click Save Layout.
