Stations that are not on an optimized and dedicated network can be optimized to prefetch and navigate wavelet images more quickly. Such optimization is not possible when viewing original images.
![]() | Note: To use wavelet images, a Curator must be installed and configured as part of the IMPAX cluster. Refer to the Curator and CD Export Server Installation Guide. |
To accelerate prefetching and navigation speeds of wavelet images
From the Configure drawer menu
, select Stations.
or
Or, from the List area bar, click the User ID menu
and select Station Configuration.
If in the Configure area, in the navigation pane, select a single station or station container to change all stations within that container.
In the details pane, expand the Image Area bar.
Switch to the Modality Resolutions tab.
For each modality to optimize (US, MR, XA, and so on), select Optimal Performance.
The other option is Optimal Resolution.
To optimize all modalities not specifically listed, from the DEFAULT list, select Optimal Performance.
Images from the modalities set to optimal performance initially load at a lower resolution that can be displayed more quickly. When the user pauses in navigating through the images, the higher-resolution version is loaded.
If in the Configure area, the changes are saved automatically when you switch context.
or
Or, if in the Station configure dialog, click OK.
