Troubleshooting: Cannot add tool to the context toolbar

Issue

Dragging a tool from the Customize dialog to the context toolbar does not work.

Details

1. Some tools in the Customize dialog have a ^ character preceding their name. This denotes that the tool can be placed only in the Image area's top toolbar, and not in the context toolbar.

2. Alternatively, if the tool is already in the context toolbar, you cannot add it again.

Solution

1. If the tool button in the Customize dialog has a ^ character, it cannot be added to the context toolbar. Add it to the top toolbar instead.

2. Double-check that the tool is not already on the context toolbar.
