Issue
When trying to view a study in the Image area, I see one of the following error messages:
A request for data from the Application Server has failed.
What would you like to do?
or
MetaDataService has failed.
Details
These messages indicates either a problem with the Application Server or that the user has not been granted permission to view studies of this type.
Solution
The PACS Administrator can check the following:
To check whether the problem is with permissions
Enable debug logging for the Client station.
Try to view the same study again.
Open the Client log file, then check to see whether the AGFAHC.PACS_CLIENT.VIEW_STUDY is listed as required to view the study.
If required, edit the study-based permissions for the role the user belongs to, and enable the View Study operation for the PACS Client.
Check that the user can view studies now.
When complete, turn off debug logging.
If permissions were not a problem, the Application Server may the problem. It may require an IIS reset.
