Issue
When I try to find a study using search, or perform an Advanced Search, I see search results, but the title bar of the Search area has a message stating:
500: MAXIMUM RESULTS EXCEEDED - NARROW SEARCH.
I sometimes see this message in a worklist bar as well.
Details
The PACS Administrator determines the maximum studies to display in the search results or in a worklist. When the maximum is exceeded, the error message appears in the search or worklist bar.
Solution
If the error message appears in a worklist, contact your PACS Administrator so that he or she can edit the worklist to narrow the results.
For searches, check the following items:
Recheck the search criteria you defined to ensure that the values you entered are correct.
If you are searching by the any Study Date criteria, select a more specific time frame.
In Advanced Search, add more search criteria.
Make the values in the search criteria more specific. In simple Search, if you are using wildcard characters to search, try adding more characters around the wildcard character; for example, *56789 instead of *789.
