Addenda are revisions or additions to validated reports. They allow radiologists to modify or append already validated report content. Radiologists can now dictate (only using speech recognition) or type an addendum followed by immediate validation in IMPAX. Addendums can only be created for reports created in IMPAX RIS.
Addendum formatting is defined by the IMPAX RIS LETTER.TEXT_ADDENDUM_STRING parameter, containing the user name, date, and time. The formatting of the user is defined by the same IMPAX RIS parameters as for report status line (LETTER.TEXT_DOCVAL_INITIALS, LETTER.TEXT_DOCVAL_SIGNATURE).
If no addendum exists, a check is done on the IMPAX RIS LETTER.ADDENDUM_INSERT parameter. If this parameter is enabled, the addendum is inserted at the body bookmark of the report template. If this parameter is disabled, the addendum is inserted at the report end bookmark of the report template (if this bookmark does not exist, the addendum is inserted at the bottom of the report).
To specify addendum and status line location in existing reports
From the Configure drawer menu

and select Preferences.If in the Configure area, in the navigation pane, select a role or user.
In the details pane, expand the Text Area bar.
Switch to the Configuration Options tab.
Determine where a new addendum is added to an existing report.
on top of the existing addendum—the new addendum is placed before the existing addendum.
beneath the existing addendum—the new addendum is placed after the existing addendum.
Determine where the addendum status line is inserted.
at the top of the addendum—the addendum status line is inserted at the top of the addendum.
at the bottom of the addendum—the addendum status line is inserted at the bottom of the addendum.
If in the Configure area, the changes are saved automatically when you switch context.
