Sending a report back to the author with IMPAX Reporting

When reviewing a report, you have the option to send the report back to the author with any comments you want to make about the report (also known as report remarks). This establishes two-way communication between residents and supervisors or between two radiologists in a co-reporting workflow.

The Send back to author button Send back to author is only available in a sign-off worklist.

To send a report to the author with IMPAX Reporting

  1. Open a study that has an existing report.

  2. In the details pane, expand the Text area.

  3. In the Report panel, click Send back to author. Send back to author

  4. In the Report remarks dialog, type comments.

    Note:

    Note:

    Report remarks can never be deleted.

    Instead of typing report remarks, you can also record voice comments through the Study Comments tab.

  5. Click OK.

    The report is removed from your sign-off worklist and appears in the report author's sign-off worklist (when the report author opens the report, the comments you made appear).IMPAX cycles to the next report in your sign-off worklist or returns to the List area.

    The report status is set to Preliminary by <supervisor name>. If the report was partially validated, the report status is set to Modified and the study status is set to Reported.
