Issue

IMPAX displays incorrect CAD findings and summary information.

Details

The following workflow can result in multiple CAD SR objects which causes IMPAX to display incorrect findings and summary information:

1. The technologist sends the study (with for example, two images) to IMPAX.

2. Two additional images are then taken for the study.

3. The technologist sends all four images together to IMPAX and the CAD Server.

4. IMPAX ignores the two existing images.

5. The CAD Server sends multiple CAD SR objects that reference the same images to IMPAX.

   CAD objects have unique instances that allow them to be stored to IMPAX.

6. IMPAX then inaccurately displays the resulting CAD findings and summary information.

Solution

If multiple CAD objects are created as described in the Details section, you must delete mammography images and CAD objects for associated studies completely from IMPAX and resend them to IMPAX and the CAD server from the modality. This ensures that only one CAD object is referenced by the images in the study. Failure to do so results in IMPAX receiving multiple CAD objects that reference the same images causing IMPAX to display incorrect findings. The mammography images and objects for such studies can be deleted completely through the Study Manager of the Administration Tools.
