Issue
When applying a shutter to an image, the edges of the shutter could be offset by one pixel depending on the scaling algorithm applied. This difference can be experienced between hardware and software-scaling algorithms, if the video card does not fit the criteria for hardware rendering.
Details
For the shutter to cover the image correctly, you can change the rendering so that IMPAX uses the rendering from the hardware (the video card) and not the software.
![]() | CAUTION! Forcing the hardware scaling for all video cards could cause issues with the quality of the image. |
Solution
To force the image and shutter to be scaled with hardware
From the Configure drawer menu Configure drawer menu
, select Stations.
In the navigation pane, select a station or station container.
In the details pane, expand the General bar.
Switch to the Video Card tab.
Select the DirectX Acceleration 6th position (Additional Hardware Support) value by dragging the slider left or right:
For the setting to take affect, change focus.
