Select the amount of DirectX Acceleration to be applied to studies when displayed. The DirectX Acceleration amount should be set only by OEM-trained PACS administrators.
To select the DirectX Acceleration applied to studies
From the Configure drawer menu
, select Stations.
or
Or, from the List area bar, click the User ID menu

If in the Configure area, in the navigation pane, select a single station or station container to change all stations within that container.
In the details pane, expand the General bar.
Switch to the Video Card tab.
Select the DirectX Acceleration value by dragging the slider left or right:
1st position (far left)—disables DirectX acceleration.
2nd position—enables DirectX acceleration.
3rd position—enables DirectX acceleration and hardware scaling on IMPAX-tested cards as directed by Agfa.
4th position—default. Enables DirectX acceleration and hardware scaling on IMPAX-tested cards as directed by Agfa. Uses YUV buffers for appropriate color images. This setting is valid for products that do not require top cine speed on grayscale images but do require that all 256 gray levels are available.
5th position—enables DirectX acceleration and hardware scaling on IMPAX-tested cards as directed by Agfa. Uses YUV buffers where possible. This is the default setting.
6th position—enables DirectX acceleration and hardware scaling on IMPAX-tested cards as directed by Agfa, as well as cards with bilinear quality. Uses YUV buffers where possible.
7th position (far right)—enables DirectX acceleration and hardware scaling on cards that support scaling, regardless of quality. Uses YUV buffers where possible. This setting should only be used for testing graphics cards.
If in the Configure area, the changes are saved automatically when you switch context.
or
Or, if in the Station configure dialog, click OK.
Exit IMPAX after changing this setting and log in again to check whether images on the diagnostic monitors are displayed appropriately.
