Connecting to the RIS database server

If the Application Server has two IMPAX RIS databases, do not modify the Database tab. Instead refer to Adding an additional IMPAX RIS database to the Application Server.

Note:

Note:

Before connecting to the RIS database server, ensure the IMPAX RIS instance is configured with the .world extension. Refer to the RIS-PACS Reporting with IMPAX Reporting integration guide.

To connect to the RIS database server

  1. Ensure that the Application Server has been prepared for the IMPAX RIS connection.

  2. Configure the custom RIS mappings in Connectivity Manager.

  3. Open the Business Services Configuration Tool.

  4. Switch to the Database tab.

  5. Under RIS Database Settings, in the Service Name field, type the name of the IMPAX RIS database service, including the .world extension.

    Note:

    Note:

You must ensure the IMPAX RIS database service has the .world extension, for example, QPROD.world.

  6. In the Server IP Address field, type the IP address of the IMPAX RIS server.

  7. Click Apply.

  8. Click Test.

The message "Connection to Oracle database successful" appears.

  9. Click OK.

If the test fails, verify that the Oracle Server Name is correct and test the connection again.

  10. Click Apply.
