IMPAX 6.5.1 Application Server Knowledge Base > Managing RIS connections and report sources
To the primary IMPAX RIS, a secondary IMPAX RIS installed on an Application Server is a "remote" IMPAX RIS. A second IMPAX RIS installed on a single Application Server is also considered a Remote IMPAX RIS. To enable access to reports from the remote IMPAX RIS, the primary Application Server must have a remote IMPAX RIS report source added in the Business Services Configuration Tool.
A remote IMPAX RIS populates the IMPAX Client Text area with the information available in the DICOM header of the images. Perform the following steps to identify the IMPAX RIS that will supply the reports displayed in the IMPAX Client Text area.
The connection to the remote IMPAX RIS can also be configured with a Connectivity Manager.
