To plan a route, create and maintain an accurate site map. The map should list the location of each cached station on the network and the types of studies it is used for. Other useful information might include:
IP address and host name of each cached station
Physical jack number in the network of each cached station
DICOM AE title of each cached station
![]() | Note: Cacheless stations (such as standard IMPAX Clients) do not require routing or prefetching, since no cache is set up to store the images in. |
With this information, you can create and implement a plan of what images must be routed where.
