Interchange media is intended for use outside of the archive. Use the Interchange Media feature to transfer images from the archive to other applications that have a CD-ROM or a DVD drive. Using the Interchange Media tool is different from regular archiving functionality since it is not registered in the database that these images have been stored to media.
As a precaution, the disk image is buffered in memory. A minimum of 10% of the total physical system RAM is reserved for the buffer memory, up to a maximum of 80 MB.

To create interchange media
On the Daily tab, click Study Manager.
From the results list, select the studies to burn to media for transfer.
Click Create Interchange Media.
