Configuring a spoke IMPAX cluster for connectivity with IMPAX Data Center

The IMPAX spoke cluster must be appropriately configured to communicate with IMPAX Data Center.

Note:

Note:

If using an IMPAX Frontend hybrid configuration at the data center, not all of these steps are required.

To configure a spoke IMPAX cluster for connectivity with IMPAX Data Center

  1. In the IMPAX MVF Administration Tools Network Management, set up the IMPAX Data Center as a PACS station. As the Port value, use 11112. Select the Query/Retrieve from Station checkbox. Clear the Send/Receive LEI only checkbox and set DICOM validation to None.

  2. If the spoke IMPAX cluster requires the support for XDS queries against IMPAX Data Center, in Network Management, set up a second PACS station for that, on port 11114.

We recommend giving the XDS station the same AE title as the IMPAX Data Center station, only appended with _XDS. For example, if using IDC1 as the AE title for IMPAX Data Center, use IDC1_XDS as the AE title for XDS communication.

  3. Enable PACS Store and Remember archiving, with the IMPAX Data Center set as the external archive destination.

  4. Configure IMPAX for Change Context (cc) object synchronization.

  5. Enable Linked Query for internal queries so that they are transmitted to IMPAX Data Center when querying the enterprise from the spoke.

    1. In IMPAX MVF Administration Tools, on the Setup tab, select Network Management.

    2. Switch to the Configuration tab.

    3. Select the station being configured.

    4. Select the Cluster Linking checkbox.

    5. Select the Link Internal Queries checkbox.

    6. Click Save. Save

    7. Perform an IIS reset on the Application Server.
