When a search query includes external clusters, the local cluster is searched first, then the linked clusters. Queries to the linked cluster use the standard DICOM SOP classes related to image queries (standard DICOM C-FIND), along with the query constraints that came from the local cluster. Any duplicates (studies found in more than one location) are removed from the final list of results.
This topic describes how to configure a station to accept external queries.
To configure the database for cross-cluster searching
On the Setup tab, click Network Management.
Switch to the Configuration tab.
From the list at the bottom of the tab, select the station to configure.
Select the Cluster Linking checkbox.
Select the Link External Queries checkbox.
Click Save.
Perform an IIS reset on the Application Server.
