Troubleshooting: IMPAX Client throwing SSL socket errors

Issue

When trying to start the IMPAX Client, an error message appears:

The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish secure channel for SSL/TLS.

Details

This is a generic message provided when the IMPAX Client cannot connect to the Application Server.

Solution

The Application Server is not accepting connections. Look in the event viewer on the Application Server at around the time of the log entry to further troubleshoot the problem.
