Unlocking a user account

Note:

Note:

If you are mapping users to an external LDAP system, the IT department in charge of that system must unlock the user account.

A user may become locked out of his or account after a certain number of login attempts, for example, if your site has set security policies such as this on the Application Server. To unlock the user's account, you must go into the Configure area - Users and Roles section.

To unlock a user account

  1. From the Configure drawer menu Configure drawer menu, select Users and Roles.

  2. In the navigation pane, select the user.

  3. In the details pane, under the User bar, switch to the Information tab.

  4. Select the Enabled checkbox.

The changes are saved automatically when you switch context.

Tip

Tip:

To disable or suspend a user account without removing the user from the system, clear the Enabled checkbox.
