IMPAX 6.5.1 Client Knowledge Base: Extended > Managing studies using worklists > Browsing for studies in a worklist
Worklist studies are initially sorted according to the priority grouping rules and the default sort specified in the worklist. Each study is listed on a different row. Studies for one patient can be grouped, either collapsed (+) or expanded (-) depending on the definition of the worklist.

Changing the order of the patients in a worklist changes the order they cycle in.
To sort the patients in a worklist
If collapsed, expand the worklist.
In the worklist, click the heading of the column to sort on.
The patients in the worklist are resorted based on the selected column. Clicking the column heading again sorts the items in reverse order.
To further organize the worklist by sorting with additional criteria, press Ctrl and click the additional column headings
The patients in the worklist are resorted based on the selected columns. To remove sorting criteria, press Ctrl and click the column headings to remove.
![]() | Note: The sort indication arrows show what column is currently being sorted on and could disappear if the worklist's sort is compromised. For example, if the list is refreshed and a new study has been added to the bottom, the worklist is no longer sorted correctly and the indicator disappears. Dragging and dropping within the worklist also causes the indicator to disappear. To restore the sorting, click any column header. |
Clicking the Revert button reverts back to the defined defaults for the worklist.
![]() | Tip: To jump to a specific item in a column, click once in that column and type the first few letters or numbers of the item. For example, clicking the Patient ID column and typing 123 takes you to the first patient ID in the column that begins with 123. |
