Troubleshooting: Cannot add images from this study to a teaching file

Issue

When I try to add images from a study to a new or existing teaching file, I cannot.

Details

One of three things happens when I try to add teaching files:

• I get a message saying "You are not authorized to perform this operation."

• I get a message indicating that I cannot add the teaching files from a banned station.

• The commands I must use to add teaching files are disabled.

Solution

Check the following items:

1. Check the permissions for the teaching file or folder you are trying to add items to.

2. The PACS Administrator may prevent studies from certain modalities from becoming teaching files. For example, if a modality burns patient information into the study images, the study cannot be made anonymous. When you try to add studies from these modalities to a teaching file, the command is disabled or a message indicating the study is from a banned station.
