Creating proxy sign-off worklists

CAUTION!

CAUTION!

Proxy sign-off is not an approved workflow in some countries such as the United States. To determine which workflows can be used, all regions must check the regulations applicable in their country.

After studies are dictated using IMPAX Reporting, they can be grouped in a proxy sign-off worklist. This worklist contains the reports from all the colleagues on whose behalf the selected radiologist can sign off reports.

Note:

Note:

Proxy sign-off worklists cannot be created on systems that do not connect to IMPAX Reporting.

To create a proxy sign-off worklist

  1. In the List area, click Worklists.

  2. In the Worklist Library, under Standard Worklists, click New.

  3. In the Worklist Name field, type a name that describes the purpose of the worklist.

  4. From the Type of Worklist list, select Sign Off Worklists.

No search options can be selected for sign-off worklists.

  5. Switch to the Organization tab and select a location for the worklist in the role hierarchy.

  6. Switch to the Physicians tab and select the Proxy Signoff checkbox.

A proxy group must first be defined in IMPAX RIS (QManager) using the REPORTING.PROXY_SIGNING parameter for the worklist to be populated.

  7. Select the radiologist the proxy sign-off worklist applies to.

The radiologists must be defined in the proxy group of the login radiologist so that radiologist can sign the reports of the other physicians listed in the proxy group.

If you do not select the Proxy Signoff button, you can select multiple radiologists and the worklist functions as a sign-off worklist.

  8. Click OK.

The worklist is added to the Standard Worklists group.

Note:

Note:

A report can potentially be signed two times by the same user before it is fully validated. For example, RadA is the author of the report and assigns RadB as the reviewer. RadA saves the preliminary report without partially validating it and RadB then proxy signs the report on behalf of RadA. As a result, the report is partially validated and appears in RadB's sign-off worklist (as RadB is the reviewer for the report). RadB then signs the report a second time to fully validate it.
