Running ianalyze

ianalyze is a tool installed automatically during the IMPAX Client install that analyzes Client performance. When executed, ianalyze parses through the client_performance.log file and produces a number of summary files. These reports can be analyzed by an administrator and also distributed to SMMS.

By default, ianalyze is located in the C:\Program Files\Agfa\IMPAX Client\6.5.1.X.XXXX directory. When running, ianalyze looks for the performance instrumentation file (client_performance.log), which is located in the logs folder for IMPAX (%PUBLIC%\Impax\Logs). The output of ianalyze is located in the same directory that the client_performance.log file.

To run ianalyze

  1. Shut down the IMPAX Client.

The IMPAX Client locks the client_performance.log file for its own use; therefore, the Client must be shut down for ianalyze to have access to this file.

  2. Navigate to the C:\Program Files\Agfa\IMPAX Client\6.5.1.X.XXXX directory.

  3. Double-click ianalyze.exe.

    Tip

    Tip:

You can also execute ianalyze from a command prompt, which give you options to pass various parameters. Execute ianalyze with the -help parameter for a list of valid parameters and their functionality.
