Troubleshooting: Gray box displayed in the Image area

Issue

A gray box is shown in the Image area before images are displayed.

Details

If you are experiencing problems with the video card drivers, or if the video card or drivers are out-of-date, the DirectX Acceleration values set in IMPAX may no longer work properly. This can cause a gray box to be shown in the Image area before images are displayed.

Solution

CAUTION!

CAUTION!

Ensure that you contact customer support after changing the DirectX Acceleration value. The DirectX Acceleration amount should be set only by qualified PACS Administrators.

In the Configure Area - Stations section, try setting a lower DirectX Acceleration value; for example, moving from 4 down to 1. Refer to Selecting the DirectX Acceleration applied to studies.

Exit IMPAX after changing this setting and log in again to check whether images on the diagnostic monitors are displayed appropriately.
