Troubleshooting: Station not listed in Station section

Issue

My station is not listed in the Station section of the Configure area.

Details

If your station is not listed, it most likely means the station has a duplicate machine security ID. This usually happens when Clients are created from a common ghost image and the machine security identifiers (SIDs) are not changed to be unique.

Another indicator that the SID is not unique includes not being able to change settings from the default ones.

Solution

Use the NewSID utility to change duplicate SIDs; on Windows 7, use the SysPrep utility. For further details, refer to the Microsoft documentation.
