Allocating one or more new stations to a non-default station container based on IP address range

When a user logs into IMPAX for the first time, the computer name is listed in the navigation pane of the Configure area - Stations section. By default, the computer name is listed in the Internet station container. You can change the default station container that a new station or a range of new stations are allocated to by creating a new station container based on a range of IP addresses.

To allocate one or more new stations to a non-default station container based on IP address range

  1. From the Configure drawer menu Configure drawer menu, select Stations.

  2. In the Station navigation pane, click on the top-level container [Workstations].

  3. Expand the Workstation Allocator bar.

  4. Click Add.

  5. In the Station Container Mapping dialog, from the Station Container Name list, select the station container you want to allocate one or more new Client stations to.

    Note:

    Note:

If the station container does not currently exist, you must create the container before continuing.

  6. In the Start IP field, type a valid IP address that is the first IP address in the range.

  7. In the End IP field, type a valid IP address that is the last IP address in the range.

To add only one Client station to the station container, type the same IP address in both the Start IP and End IP fields.

  8. Click Add

Notice the word Modified appears on the top right-hand side of the pane.

  9. To save the settings, click Save.

    Note:

    Note:

To reset all changes to the previously saved state, click Reset.
