Configuring spoke HL7 Out and hub HL7 In settings

To enable the hub Connectivity Manager to receive orders and reports from the spoke Connectivity Manager, configure HL7 communication from the spoke Connectivity Manager to the hub Connectivity Manager.

To configure spoke HL7 Out and hub HL7 In settings

  1. Log in to IMPAX Connectivity Service Tools.

  2. Hover the pointer over Device Manager and select Real World Devices.

  3. Click the device HUB_FROM_SPOKEAETitle.

  4. In the General section, in the Device Name box, replace HUB_FROM_SPOKEAETitle with the name of the spoke Connectivity Manager AETitle.

  5. In the General section, in the Sending Facility box, type the unique hub Connectivity Manager Site Identifier.

  6. In the General section, in the Sending Application box, type the hub Connectivity Manager AETitle.

  7. In the HL7 In section, in the Local Port box, type the unique port that the spoke Connectivity Manager should send data into. For example, 2151.

    Note:

    In most instances there are multiple spoke Connectivity Managers sending into the hub Connectivity Manager, which necessitates multiple copies of this profile, but with different Local Port numbers for each device. In this example, we have picked 2151 for this first spoke Connectivity Manager that is connecting to the hub Connectivity Manager. For the next spoke Connectivity Manager that connects, chose a different unique port, for example, 2152).

  8. Click Save.
