IMPAX 6.5.1 Application Server Knowledge Base > Configuring spoke and hub communications
Name the RIS feed, which propagates the name through Modality Worklist queries so that the resulting worklist studies stored in the PACS contain a reference to the RIS feed.
The RIS name is stored in the study objects (in the requesting_service data element) so that as these studies get sent to the hub and other spokes, the RIS name persists within the study objects. When the user requests a report for a study, the requesting_service data element is examined to determine which source to query for the report. These report source names and associated connection details are configured in the Application Server and the Connectivity Manager.
![]() | Note: Every RIS must have a unique name throughout the enterprise. |
