Creating a scheduled backup job for the ADAM database and web services configurations

All IMPAX user information is stored in the ADAM database. Once created, the scheduled backup job runs at set intervals and creates a backup copy of the selected data. The backups can be saved to tape, CD or DVD, or a network location.

In a multiple Application Server configuration, the ADAM instance on a secondary Application Server is a replica of the instance on the primary Application Server. When backing up a secondary Application Server, perform the same tasks as on the primary Application Server.

To create a scheduled backup job for the ADAM database and web services configurations

  1. Enable the Task Scheduler service

  2. Create a scheduled backup job

  3. Verify that the job is scheduled
