Configuring the connection to the security server

Configure the connection between the Application Server and the Spine Security Broker (SSB). By establishing this connection, user sessions can be terminated on the Spine and be sent through to IMPAX.

Do not modify these settings unless the site uses smart card authentication.

To add an new IP address to the allowable list

  1. In the New IP Address field, type the new IP address to be allowed.

    The IP Address must be the IP address of the SSB.

  2. Click Add.

To remove an IP address from the allowable list

  1. In the Allowable IP Addresses field, select the IP address to be removed.

  2. Click Remove.

To configure the connection to the security server

  1. Open the Business Services Configuration Tool

  2. Switch to the Security tab.

  3. In the Clinical Application field, type the identifier of the calling application.

  4. In the Instance ID field, type the application instance number.

  5. In the URL field, type the URL of the service.asmx web service on the SSB.

    For example, type http://machine_name:2002/asa/webservice/service.asmx, where machine_name is the fully qualified domain name or IP address of the SSB machine.

  6. Add or remove IP addresses to the allowable list as necessary.

  7. Click Apply.
