What are group mappings?

Group mappings are a way of grouping studies with common attributes such that searching, prefetching, and routing can be based on those attributes. Because each site has unique requirements and data sets, no generic set of mappings are available for all. You must analyze your site’s workflow requirements, then create the mappings that fulfill them. You can map studies based on specialty, body part, and patient location attributes.

Mapping groups are not DICOM compliant. The mappings do not exist outside of the IMPAX system. They are simply a means of organizing studies within the system.
