A study ended message is sent by the acquisition station to tell IMPAX when all study images and messages have been sent. Depending on the type of modality, you may have to configure different criteria for when the study is considered complete. For example, if a modality is capable of closing the association after all the images are sent, you may want to select the When Study Association Closed option to avoid keeping the association open unnecessarily.
If a new image arrives for a study after the study is closed, the study is automatically reopened.
To configure when a study transmission is considered complete
On the Setup tab, click Network Management.
Switch to the Configuration tab.
From the list at the bottom of the tab, select the station to configure.
Under Study Ended, select one of the following options:
To close a study in IMPAX when the study association is closed by the acquisition station, select When Study Association Closed.
To close a study after a set period of inactivity, select After x Second Timeout and type the number of seconds of inactivity.
Click Save.
