To display CJK characters in study information, you must update the database to display a font that supports CJK.

To update the Administration Tools to use CJK, type
update map_ini set ini_value = 'true' where ini_section = 'SERVICE_TOOLS' and ini_key = 'displayJapanese'
Restart the Administration Tools server.
