IMPAX Results Viewer tools


The following tools are commonly required when using IMPAX Results Viewer.

Magnification
Increase magnificationIncrease magnificationIncreases an image's display size in increments by clicking the tool.
Decrease magnification Decrease magnificationReduces an image's display size in increments by clicking the tool.
Magnify and Pan resetMagnify/Pan ResetResets image magnification and position.
Brightness and Contrast
Change the brightness
Brightness slider

Changes the overall brightness of an image. This is useful when viewing almost any study. For example, changing the brightness can help:

  • Compensate for overly bright room lighting

  • Make it easier to see an inserted tube in patients whose fluid retention creates dispersion on X-ray images

Change the contrast
Contrast slider

Change the contrast between light and dark areas of an image. This is useful when viewing almost any study. For example, changing the contrast can help:

  • Increase the image contrast when screening mammography studies, so as to more easily spot anomalies

  • Make it easier to see an inserted tube in patients whose fluid retention creates dispersion on X-ray images

Window Level ResetWindow Level ResetResets the brightness and contrast values.

Study screen layoutThe screen layout setting defines how studies and images are displayed in IMPAX Results Viewer—how many of each are displayed at once, and how they are arranged in columns and rows. IMPAX Results Viewer includes four screen format options: Image 1x1 , Series 2x2 , Series 3x3 , or Series 4x1/Image 1x4.
Toggles
Demographics Toggle offDemographics toggle

Shows or hides patient demographics on study images.

Some older modalities burn demographics directly onto the image. In these cases, demographics cannot be hidden.

View own markups stateDisplay markupHides or shows all markups on all images in a study.
Reports
View reportShow reportDisplays the report for the study, if one is available.
